Many standards were developed during last decade to unify the terminology and method used in the biology. Several project deal with the collection of the standards and provides the repository of standards. The problem, why the people do not use these standards is some necessary effort for change of the terminology used in the laboratory and nonexistence of the tools that can simplify the standardization.

BioWes allow the users to use the standards (in owl format) during the design of the protocol of experiment. The standardized terminology can be simply used in the protocol to improve the unification of the biological experiments.
